Since September 2018, 19 young people have been going to school. Doesn’t sound that impressive? Well they’ve also been running Connect Groups for their peers, where they’ve been talking openly about following Christ, praying for their friends, answering impossible questions and occasionally wondering whether this was such a good idea after all. We want to say thank you to them. And we want to say thank you to the local church. And we want to say thank you to God. So at 5pm on Saturday June 29th at Southcourt Baptist Church we’re going to have an Enormous Bring and Share Thank You.

Well, everyone really. But specifically, we’d love to see all the youth leaders from the CYLN and their youth groups, our financial and prayerful supporters, our church partners, teachers and staff members, all the young people attending Connect groups in schools, all the families and friends of the above, maybe some randomers who are passing by. Yeah like we said, everyone.

We’re going to go with a cold buffet, so feel free to bring whatever you like. Probably stuff like bread, salads, cold meats, crisps, cheese. Since there’ll be a load of Christians there it’s probably best that a few people bring quiche. If you’ve got a sweet tooth then let it be known with a your cake of choice or other sweet delights. If anyone out there knows how to make baclava, that’d be Tom’s preference. Just please don’t bring ice-cream. Unless you’re also bringing a big freezer.
