At Aylesbury Vale Youth for Christ, we’re about seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus. Everything we design is geared towards this single purpose. We want young people who are Christians to know and follow Jesus more closely and young people who don’t know him to be given the continual opportunity to encounter him. Over the last couple of years we’ve changed direction massively, totally away from secular youth work towards an organisation that strives to fulfil the great commission through young people across Aylesbury. We’re working in schools, the prison, churches and youth groups in partnership with the local church. And we’re looking for brand new members of the Exec to join us in this period of change and growth.
The Exec are the body of Trustees within Aylesbury Vale Youth for Christ. They’re the ones who make sure the charity are legally compliant in terms of the Charity Commission, HMRC and our relationship with National Youth for Christ. The Exec currently meet ten times a year to pray, plan and check in with the director. The Exec is comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and a few general exec members who help to carry the load. At the moment, we’re actively seeking a Vice Chair, Secretary and a few general exec members to join us.
